We planned the documentary we wanted to make on a storyboard, just like every other film that is produced. We made this so that we could base everything we do around it. This storyboard determined whether we would film something or not, what we would film, and how we would film it. the story board was a plan to how the skeleton of the documentary. we thought of only doing the skeleton of the documentary as when filming a documentary, new information, or narrative, could come up, and therefore the whole documentary could take a different turn to what was originally planned.
So for that reason, this is why the storyboard looks like this. at some points, where we know the narrative wont change, or just know we want to film this, the plan is in great detail, but for those we didn't, it is obviously very skeletal so we have flexibility in what we film. We know that storyboards are very detailed and are always down to the t of what should happen, but we thought to have this diversity to be able to make us film the best documentary possible we should really give ourselves the diversity, and i think this will be a good idea. In all, the storyboard helped us out massively because ti kept us on task for lots of the course. with something constantly there to refer back to, it made the whole process lot easier than it would have been without it. |
