This is our final thriller introduction.
in this question we decided to use a documentary stile interview because you can see what we feel and we can get across a lot more fo what we want to say rather than just on a poster.
we created a prezi to show our answer to this question because as well as just saying what places would take our film, it could also be used to show why and reasons, and prezis are almost like marketing slideshows to show why they should take our film.
the target audience that we planned to aim our movie at was mainly 15-25 year old. these teenage years to young adults are the prime target for most thrillers because as of recent times, they have become something society has gained more interest in. this could be because film has advanced, or they have become more gripping and adrenaline pumping for these ages, but after research, we think that this would be the best target audience to aim our thriller intro at. also we have set this age group because our film is a horror-esque style and clearly would not be suitable for those any younger than 15, and we also feel that, alongside where we want our film to be displayed, the ages of up to 25 would be more likely to show an interest and would be more available to see our film. another reason for this target audience is that the people that stared in our film were of the age in between our target audience. we did this because making the main actors of a film closer the the age that it is targeted to means that the audience could relate to the film better as it is like watching their friends as they are practically the same age. due them being able to relate to the characters we feel as if more people would want to come and see our product that way. This could be a strong influence on our target group and again makes it more specific to this age group. Generally speaking the cinema has become a lesser used establishment as people are more likely to watch films in the comfort of their homes thanks to technological advances. Therefore we feel this age group may be the more likely to attend a cinema or film festival. These are the reasons we chose the age group we did, and we are happy with our reasoning and range.
Facebook is another place where things can be shared easily, people would just send links around to their friends telling them about our media product ans then this would bring it attention. also people can start pages and then get more people involved and if we created a page we could tell people information and tell them about upcoming things all at once, getting our media product a lot of attention.
finally, bill boards and things like that would get attention as they are really big and if you are stcuk behind a bus with a picture of our media on, they will clearly see it and think more about it, getting our thriller a lot of attention. QUESTION 6) WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING YOUR MEDIA4/21/2015 in our media group, i was the editor of the pack, so i had to put all the footage together, cut down the footage, add effects, change the lighting, change the volume of the sound and all the things you would expect the editor of a film to do when you are creating a movie. firstly i had to master getting the footage to flow between the shots when opening doors and transitioning. i didn't wan to do any editing that was rough around the edges i wanted it to be smooth and i wanted it to flow like a proper thriller so that's why had to really try and practice and it think it all paid off because all the editing flows really well. also, i did have to master how to use effects on imovie. over the course i have learnt to use effects in the right places. i used to put them in everywhere because i thought it made my movies look better, but then on evaluation of this, i realized that maybe they were un-needed and didn't add anything to my movie. so i started to watch other thrillers and see where it would add the best effect and where they were needed. learning the software to actually implement these effects was relatively easy, but extremely useful. now that these effects can be used in my movies, it means that this technology i have learned to use can be useful to any sort of film making i do. also i learnt how a proper camera, which more advanced settings. in the prelim task i didn't really know how to use the camera. but for our proper movie, i thought that i should learn for when other people were acting apart from me. i enjoyed learning the camera and i think i did well, some scenes where i shot the footage were actually very good and i am happy with them. overall i think that the technology that i learned was very good and i felt my media skills really developed well.
for this question we decided to do another interview, because just like question 1, this one you could easily express what we felt toward our film and we thought it would be best to just say what we think rather that tell everyone though a poster. |
