in our media group, i was the editor of the pack, so i had to put all the footage together, cut down the footage, add effects, change the lighting, change the volume of the sound and all the things you would expect the editor of a film to do when you are creating a movie. firstly i had to master getting the footage to flow between the shots when opening doors and transitioning. i didn't wan to do any editing that was rough around the edges i wanted it to be smooth and i wanted it to flow like a proper thriller so that's why had to really try and practice and it think it all paid off because all the editing flows really well. also, i did have to master how to use effects on imovie. over the course i have learnt to use effects in the right places. i used to put them in everywhere because i thought it made my movies look better, but then on evaluation of this, i realized that maybe they were un-needed and didn't add anything to my movie. so i started to watch other thrillers and see where it would add the best effect and where they were needed. learning the software to actually implement these effects was relatively easy, but extremely useful. now that these effects can be used in my movies, it means that this technology i have learned to use can be useful to any sort of film making i do. also i learnt how a proper camera, which more advanced settings. in the prelim task i didn't really know how to use the camera. but for our proper movie, i thought that i should learn for when other people were acting apart from me. i enjoyed learning the camera and i think i did well, some scenes where i shot the footage were actually very good and i am happy with them. overall i think that the technology that i learned was very good and i felt my media skills really developed well.
