Recently the focus that has been surrounding our documentary is the archive footage we are going to use. the thought process originally was to follow the storyboard and then put the archive footage in that would fit in-between the certain clips and interviews we have. we have stuck to this idea as it is the most effective way to really select archive footage that would look the best in our documentary. recently i have been hunting for archive footage that fits into the introduction part of our documentary. we wanted it to make gaming look glamorous, but at the same time, not make it seem that we are for or against gaming. the introduction archive footage has to be that which gives of the impression that millions of people around the world love it, but there are signs that gaming couldn't not be all good.
| This example here show that gaming is a huge community, but, at the same time, for gaming to be this big and for it to be taken this seriously, is there that element of being addicted, which is what our documentary is all about. Gaming events are a huge part of gaming these days, with Hundreds of thousands of people attending them, and millions watching all around the world. |
Archive footage that could be used behind interviews or just as solo archive footage is great to have as if i could put it behind an interview, it is easier to get my narrative across without the interviewee having to try and explain their point as such as the audience can clearly see what is going on.
